Better late then never, right?
SO, I haven’t done this in quite sometime, but I kinda feel like it’s necessary for this up coming year. Yeah, normal people make a list before the new year and try like hell to stick to it, but when have I ever done things the right way, right?
So without further ado, and not in any particular order, here is a list of shit I should probably try to work on :D!
My new years resolutions:
1: Spend less time with my television, and more time lost in the pages of a good book.
2: Enroll in a self defense class. This way if I am ever in a sticky situation I will look less like Andy Dufresne getting his shit wrecked by the Sisters, and more like Xena.
3: Begin working out and living a more active lifestyle. Sure, I do completely enjoy sitting around sipping hot tea and knitting, but maybe it’s time to get off my butt?
4: Find a better way to cope with my severe anxiety without the use of prescription medication. Sure, shaking quietly in a corner by myself like a goddamn chihuahua has gotten me this far, but I think it may be time for a change.
5: Enroll in culinary school. It’s taken me a very long time to figure out what exactly I’d like to be when I grow up. Thanks to my passion for cooking and baking, I’m 140% sure culinary is the way to go.
6: Work on being a kinder more compassionate version of myself. I used to be a genuinely good person, I think it’s time I start working on getting back to being that person again.
7: Work on conquering my social anxiety. Although I’m content keeping to myself, I’m sure it would be nice put myself out there a bit and interact more with my peers.
And lastly…
8: Remind my lovely husband daily of how much I truly do love him. We may have our issues here and there, but everyday I remind myself of how unbelievably lucky I am to have married such an interesting and beautiful man.
